Brothers Forever Welcomes New Tenor Perry Jones
CHURCH HILL, Tenn. - Brothers Forever is pleased to announce the addition of Perry Jones as the group's new tenor.
Perry Jones resides in Marion, North Carolina with his wife, Daphne. Perry has been singing since he was a child and has been traveling and ministering since the age of 18. Perry has traveled with 3 for 1, Safe Harbor, and the Blackwoods before joining Brothers Forever. In addition, Jones has shared the stage with contemporary Christian artists like Audio Adrenaline, MercyMe, and Sonicflood.
Curtis Hagy of Brothers Forever said, "We had been auditioning and trying out people for over four months, and God just wouldn't let us settle on any of them. When we stopped looking for someone, God sent us Perry. After hearing him sing, we knew that God had sent him."
"I'm so excited about joining this group that has a firm foundation in ministry," mentioned Perry. "They have welcomed me and my family with open arms. It has been an awesome first month, and we have already seen eight people saved. I can't wait to finish this new album that we are working on too! God has sent this group some great songs that are really touching a lot of people."
Perry is currently laying down vocals for the group's newest release, which is due out later this year. The rest of the group was recently in the studio recording vocals for the album. The men were in GAT3 Studios completing vocals with producer Brad Hudson (Greenes) and engineer Glen Tabor.
The as-of-yet-untitled disc has a tentative release date scheduled for this fall. The recording features 11 brand new songs - seven of which were written by Brothers Forever members. The recording also features the writing talent of Jimmy Dooley and Sandy Blithe. The album will feature some of the industry’s most sought-after studio musicians - including Gordon Mote, Kelly Back, Tony Creasman, David Johnson, and Kevin Grant.
The debut single from the new recording is already making waves at Southern Gospel radio. The song, entitled "I Feel a Blessing Coming On", has already reached #37 on the SoGospelNews.com Top 40 Weekly Chart.
More information on the new recording will be released later.
