Hello family and friends,
I finally got a chance to write somewhat of newsletter about our California and Daytona Beach tour! We had a great time to say the least and I will try to hit the hight points because honestly it would take a short novel to tell you what all God has done in the past two months.
To start things off, the high point of course was that the Lord saved 35 people starting from June 4 all the way through July 21. Most all of those came from CA with the exception of a couple in New Mexico and Arizona.
We got to know some great new friends from all over the country and God did a mighty work. Another cool thing that God did was that someone bought our group a completely converted 73 Silver Eagle bus. Brand new engine and brand new transmission. It was almost impossible to believe!!! If you would like to know the full story then go to this link http://www.brothersforever.net/news/13/51 The only thing that the bus needs is a new paint job. We are trusting that God is going to send the right person our way for that as well! We have been praying for about a year for God to help us get out of debt and we believe this is a step in the right direction. We are putting our RV up for sale so if you know anyone that is looking to buy a great RV send them our way!
Perry lost his glasses somewhere in Arkansas and couldn't wait for his Dr back in Marion to get him a pair. The Lord had an Optometrist from Stockton, CA to donate his time and an entire pair of prescription glasses. So we praise God for that!!!!
Once our tour concluded from the west we were home 3 days and then we left to visit our good friends in Daytona Beach and southern Alabama. We had an incredible time and while we were singing on Friday night God spoke to me and told me that we needed to sing at a rest home that weekend. I didn't know any rest homes so I got out our GPS and just typed in Rest Home. Well the first and only one that came up was Rivieria Assisted Living Home. I contacted them and told them that we wanted to come and minister to the older people and they gladly invited us over. Following Sunday mornings service at West Side Baptist we went to the nursing home. We had a great time and after we finished singing we were walking around and talking to the people. A 93yr old lady came up to Gary and proceeded to tell him that she was scared to die. She told Gary that she had been religious all her life and attended a Presbyterian Church her whole life but that she had never accepted Christ as her personal Saviour. So Gary and I led her to the Lord right there in that Nursing Home. Isn't God good!!!! So get out there guys and minister to all you can!
Bahama Cruise 2009
We need to remind everyone about the cruise coming up in Jan 09. We still have about 10 spots open and if you havn't, you need to hurry and sign up. Go to www.tuneofthesea.com and sign up today! It will be a entire week cruising the Bahamas and Half Moon Cay as well as a week of great gospel music.
Well got to go for now. We are leaving for North Carolina today.
We love you all!
Curtis, Gary and Perry
