In order for you to understand the following story, we need to go back to July '07. We were singing at a Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship in Ceres,California. After the conclusion of the service Jim, the President of the the FGBMF, came up to us and gave a special word from the Lord. He told us that God had told him that He was going to bless us with a Silver Eagle bus. We gladly received this word, earnestly expecting and waiting for this blessing. A full year had passed without us being blessed with a bus but everything was about to change. During the first week of our 2008 Sheltered tour in California, we were approached by a gentleman saying that he had a '73 Silver Eagle bus for sale. He began to tell us about the bus in great detail. It had a brand new transmission and brand new engine. It also had 6 beds with front and rear lounges as well as a full shower and bathroom. We listened intently fully knowing that we did not have the funds to purchase this bus. We told him that we would pray about it and if it was God's will that He would provide us with the means to purchase the bus.
Two weeks had passed and on the Sunday of our final services we were singing in Caruthers, Ca. Curtis felt led of the Lord to make the need known to the church so that they could help us pray and provisions could be made. We finished the concert and went to the potluck in the fellowship building. While we were eating, the pastor asked us to accompany him back to the church. He then informed us of the offering and, THANK THE LORD, one gentlemen in the church had given a personal donation for us to purchase the bus.
We are so grateful and blessed to be serving such an awesome God. The liberties that we will now have with a bus will be so wonderful. Please remember to pray that God will keep his hands on the bus and that Brothers Forever will always stay in the center of His will and keep Him first.
In His Service,
Perry Jones and Brothers Forever
